How To Download And Install iFile On Your iOS 10 Device – No Jailbreak Needed

If you don’t have a jailbroken iPhone and miss some wonderful apps such as iFile then you do not need to worry at all. You can now enjoy having iFile, as well as many other apps not available on App Store, courtesy sideloading process. With Xcode and other sideload options available now for iOS devices, the apps that once needed a jailbreak to install them through Cydia can now be used even on devices that are not jailbroken. Though not an official option, but still it is an effective one to have such great apps. To top it all, this process works fine on all the iOS 10 versions.

How To Download And Install iFile Without Jailbreak On iOS 10

So, here are the steps that you need to follow in order to install iFile on your iOS 10 device without having to jailbreak it.

1. Whether you have a jailbroken iPhone or not, you won’t be able to do anything if you don’t have the .ipa or .deb file. So, if you don’t have it then you will have to start the process by downloading it first.
2. Once you have that file, you can move on to the installation process without needing App Store and Cydia. When using this option, you will need either of Cydia Impactor or Xcode.
3. Once you have the iFile app on your iOS 10 device, you may have to do a couple of more things to be able to use it. First thing to do is to trust its certificate and let your iOS to invoke your new app. For this you will have to go to Settings and select Profiles and Device Management in General tab.
4. Find iFile’s certificate here and tap it to open and then tap Trust to tell your iOS that the app is trustworthy and should be allowed to run on your device.
5. Once you have trusted the certificate, you will be able to use the iFile app normally as you’d with any other app. Launch the app from Home Screen and enjoy the experience by using all the features that the app has to offer.

The latest iOS 10.3 features new prompt for the ratings & reviews in App Store. However, if you talk about previous versions of the operating system, the prompt used to take you to App Store where you could leave your review. But, for iOS 10.3, you have in-app prompts that allow you to leave your reviews right there.

Here it is important to mention, particularly if you have a background of using iFile on a jailbroken device, that you will not have that full experience if you are using it on non-jailbroken device. The reason is that you don’t have the root access to every folder and directory that is needed by the app as compared to jailbroken devices. The ability of writing files will also be limited and even that will be there in specific folders. But still, iFile is one great app to have on your iOS 10 device whether it is jailbroken or not.
